The crisp air and festive atmosphere make for a magical setting, but dressing appropriately is key to enjoying your time outdoors. Layering is essential—think warm coats, hats, gloves, scarves, and thermal wear to stay cozy while exploring. Since both cities have historic districts with charming but uneven cobblestone streets, comfortable, insulated, and slip-resistant walking shoes or boots are highly recommended to navigate the terrain safely. With the right gear, you’ll be able to fully embrace the beauty of these winter wonderlands.
